Former Chelsea star rules Blues out of EPL, UCL race

Former Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has reacted to the Blues performance so far this season under manager Enzo Maresca.
In a recent statement, Mikel shared reasons his former club can’t win the English Premier League and Uefa champions League this season.
The former footballer made the comment ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League faceoff with Benfica on Tuesday night.
Mikel stated that Maresca’s and his team can’t win any of the major trophies because they are way too exposed.
Mikel via his The Obi One Podcast, said:
“We can’t win the Premier League or Champions League; we are way too exposed.
“You can’t play with the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Dembélé – they would crush us.”
Recall that Chelsea won the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer after they unexpectedly defeated French side Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
The Blues earned a spot in the Champions League this season after their performance in the last campaign.
However, this season has seen the Blues struggling. As of now, Chelsea are currently in the 8th position in the Premier League table after six games, with their last outing against Brighton ending in a defeat.
