Eberechi Eze opts for Dennis Bergkamp’s shirt number at Arsenal

Arsenal newest signing Eberechi Eze has opted to pick the number 10 shirt worn by some of the biggest names in our history, such as Dennis Bergkamp at Emirates Stadium.
Recall that the Gunners signed Eze from Crystal Palace after hijacking him from their neighbours, Tottenham Hotspur, who had also made moves to sign him.
The former Crystal Palace star was unveiled as Arsenal’s new player on Saturday after their 5-0 win against Leeds United in the Premier League.
Eze donned the number 10 shirt when he played for Palace, and also wants to retain the digit at Emirates Stadium.
“I know what it means,” Ebere stated speaking about the history behind number 10 shirt at Arsenal.
“It’s a privilege and an honour, because I know the names that have worn this shirt before me. I see this opportunity as something that’s like a blessing, so just to be able to be here, I’m going to give everything I have to pay back this type of respect.”
Meanwhile, Eze is expected to make his debut for Arsenal when they play against Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
Eze has been tipped to start at the front alongside Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres.
