Chelsea, Man Utd handed transfer boost to sign PSG goalkeeper

French giant PSG have handed Premier League clubs Chelsea and Man Utd transfer boost this summer transfer to sign their goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

This comes as PSG were said to have informed Donnarumma of the imminent arrival of Lucas Chevalier from Lille, who could compete with him for game time next season

Recall that Donnarumma won the Ligue 1 title, Coupe de France and Champions League with the French club in the 2024-25 campaign.

He also recorded 17 shutouts in 47 games across all competitions last season.

Despite all these, Donnarumma’s future is uncertain at the Parc des Princes due to his contract situation.

The 26-year-old is in his 12 months of his deal, and is yet to pen an extension, hinting at a possible exit from PSG.

The French side have now taken the initiative to make a move for a new goalkeeper.

According to RMC Sport, PSG have informed Donnarumma about Chevalier’s transfer from Ligue 1 side Lille.

The French gaints are said to be making progress in talks with Lille over a €40m (£35m) deal, with Chevalier ready to sign a five-year contract.

Donnarumma is said to be unhappy with PSG’s decision to sign a direct rival.
