Chelsea striker  Nicolas Jackson has reacted to the Blues summer signings in the attack, stating that he does not see them as “competition” for his place in the team.

Jackson arrived at Stamford Bridge Villarreal and has scored 30 goals and created 12 assists from 81 appearances in all competitions for the Blues in two seasons.

The Blues new signings Liam Delap and Joao Pedro played ahead of the Senegalese at the Club World Cup, with the latter scoring three goals in as many games as the Blues won the competition.

However, since the commencement of the summer window, Jackson has been linked with exit away from Chelsea, with Manchester United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa, reportedly interested in him.

In an exclusive interview with DSports TV, Jackson suggested that he is not intimidated the Blues summer signings.

When asked on having some “serious competition”, Jackson claimed he was focused on trying to do his best to impress manager Enzo Maresca.

He said: “Competition? I have no competition. We’re all here to help the club. Everyone has their role to play.
