Man Utd advised to sign Aston Villa striker

Manchester United have been advised to make a move for an experienced striker this summer transfer window as they prepare to compete for Premier League title next season.

The club’s former star Rio Ferdinand in a recent statement encouraged the Red Devils to make a move for Ollie Watkin from Aston Villa.

According to Ferdinand, the 29-year-old striker has experience and would be a plus for the younger forwards at Man United.

So far, Watkin is one of the players who have been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Man United, on the hand have completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha and are looking to add more players to their attack line.

Rio Ferdinand while speaking on Presents YouTube channel, the former defender stated that Watkins would be a good addition to the Manchester United squad.

He, however, stressed that Watkins’ age is the only drawback for Manchester United.

Ferdinand pointed out that the likes of Hojlund, Zirkzee and Chido were young, inexperienced players, who need an experienced player like Watkins.

Recall that Watkins scored 17 goals and created 14 assists in 54 appearances for Aston Villa last season.
