Mosquera shares why he joined Arsenal

Arsenal new signing and defender Cristhian Mosquera has reacted to his transfer to the Premier League club this summer.

The Gunners who keen on bolstering their squad ahead of next season on Thursday announced Mosquera as their latest signing.

Mosquera joined Arsenal from Spanish La Liga side Valencia, signing a five-year contract.

The defender is now the third Spaniard to join Arsenal this summer after Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi.

Reports revealed the the Spanish youth international has flown to Singapore to join Arsenal squad as they continue their tour of Asia.

Mosquera in a recent statement via Arsenal official website said the transfer to Emirate Stadium meant a lot to him especially as a lot of work was put into the deal behind the scene before it happened.

Speaking on why he joined Arsenal, Mosquera said, “It’s an opportunity that came up and I couldn’t let it pass me by. I’m joining a historic, massive club. When you arrive here with your family, you really feel the greatness of this place.”

Meanwhile, Mosquera could get a change to make his debut appearance for the Gunners when they take on Newcastle United on Sunday.
