Chelsea slash asking price for French striker amid interest from Man Utd

Christopher Nkunku is one of the players that have been tipped to leave Chelsea in this summer transfer window.
To facilitate his exit, a recent report revealed that Chelsea have slashed their asking price for Nkunku amid interest from Man Utd.
The Red Devils are looking to bolstering their attack following their poor performance in the 2024/25 campaign that saw them finish in 15th place in the Premier League.
So far, Man Utd have completed deals for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, whose arrival from Brentford was confirmed on Monday.
Man United are expected to sign a new striker and have Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson on their radar.
Nkunku, who has primarily played second fiddle at Chelsea to Jackson has been linked with an exit this summer.
The France international has not been impressive for the Blues since joining them from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023.
He struggled with injuries and poor form when available, limiting his regular starting time at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are set to offload him this summer and he has so far attracted interest from United and German side Bayern Munich.
The Athletic reported that Chelsea valued the France international at £65m but have now slashed it to €50m (around £43.3m).
It is unlikely that Man United will still be able to afford Nkunku at that price.
