Chelsea’s club world cup winner set to be sent out on loan

Chelsea are set to part ways temporarily with one of their players in person of Mamadou Sarr in the summer transfer window.
Sarr impressed for the Blues during the FIFA club world cup that saw them emerging as the winner against French side PSG in the finals.
While Sarr clearly left an impact on those at Stamford Bridge, that left many at Chelsea rooting for him to secure a spot in the Blues squad under manager Enzo Maresca next season, it appears this is now unlikely to happen.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the youngster is set for a season back at Strasbourg on loan after penning his eight-year contract with his new club.
Romano said: “Strasbourg agree deal to sign Mamadou Sarr on loan from Chelsea, the defender is back to the club.
After signing 8 year deal at Chelsea, Sarr returns to Strasbourg on loan as key part of Rosenior plans for upcoming season with top 5 ambitions in Ligue 1. Here we go.”
Meanwhile, Maresca had previously stated that Sarr would need time to be able to adapt to the style in the senior team.
A move to Strasbourg is an opportunity for the youngster to gain more experience.
