Major Transfer Decision Made Amid Arsenal Interest and Hijack Talk

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly made a decisive call regarding a potential move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, amid intensifying interest from Arsenal.

The North London rivals are both monitoring the 27-year-old playmaker, who has a £68 million release clause in his contract.

Eze has long been a thorn in Spurs’ side, with three goals and an assist in seven Premier League appearances against them. Most notably, he scored both goals in Palace’s impressive 2-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season—further underlining his credentials as a top-tier creative force.

Tottenham’s interest in Eze has grown in recent weeks after their move for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo stalled. Despite early optimism about reuniting Mbeumo with former boss Thomas Frank, the player is now leaning toward a move to Manchester United. Complicating matters further are Mbeumo’s high wage demands, which have opened the door for Eze to become Spurs’ primary attacking target.

Eze is coming off a standout season with Crystal Palace, capped by his winning goal in the FA Cup final against Manchester City. His consistent performances and match-winning ability have attracted attention across the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly considering a move to hijack any deal Tottenham pursue.

With Levy now said to be weighing up whether to trigger Eze’s £68m release clause, Spurs could face serious competition from their fiercest rivals as the summer transfer window heats up.
