Arsenal Consider Shock Move for Chelsea Striker

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson as part of their ongoing search for a new striker ahead of the 2025/26 season.

With Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his attacking options, the Gunners have already initiated talks with Sporting CP over a deal for Viktor Gyökeres and are keeping close tabs on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško.

Additionally, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins remains on Arsenal’s radar, despite the club’s unsuccessful £60 million bid for the England international during the January transfer window.

Now, according to journalist Duncan Castles via The Transfers Podcast, Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson has emerged as a potential target for Arsenal.

The 24-year-old Senegalese forward joined Chelsea from Villarreal in a £31.8 million deal in 2023 and has since scored 30 goals in 80 appearances for the Blues.

Despite his solid output, Jackson’s time at Stamford Bridge has been marked by inconsistency, drawing mixed reviews from fans and pundits. With Chelsea recently securing the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for £30 million, the club is reportedly open to offloading Jackson if a suitable offer arrives.

Arsenal are believed to be weighing their options carefully and will only move forward with a deal if it represents good value in today’s competitive transfer market. As the summer window unfolds, Jackson now joins a growing list of striker targets being assessed by the North London club.
