Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign Newcastle United star Alexander Isak, according to new reports linking the Swedish striker with a big-money summer move.

The 24-year-old is also attracting serious interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.

Isak enjoyed an outstanding 2024/25 campaign with Newcastle, scoring 23 goals and registering six assists in just 34 league appearances. He also made his mark in the Carabao Cup final, netting in the Magpies’ 2-1 victory over Liverpool to help secure the club’s first domestic trophy in seven decades.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Newcastle would demand a minimum of £150 million for the striker should they entertain any offers. That price tag reflects Isak’s rising reputation as one of Europe’s most complete forwards, with some analysts even claiming he is “more complete than Erling Haaland” due to his technical ability, movement, and link-up play.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is believed to be a long-time admirer of Isak, with the Swede named as a top transfer priority amid speculation that Darwin Nunez could be on his way out of Anfield. Arsenal are also said to be considering a move, as Mikel Arteta looks to add a proven goal-scorer to bolster their title ambitions next season.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are eager to strengthen their attack after a lacklustre goal return in 2024/25. With several high-profile forwards on their shortlist, Isak has now emerged as a serious target—though any deal would require a significant financial commitment.
