Chido Obi was pictured among the Manchester United squad travelling to London ahead of their Premier League fixture against Brentford on Sunday.

The 16-year-old forward is joined by fellow academy talent Tyler Fredricson, both of whom are in contention to feature at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Also spotted boarding the train to the capital were Amad Diallo and Matthijs De Ligt, who recently returned from injury and played in Thursday’s 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao. Their presence in the squad suggests they may see increased minutes as they build match fitness.

Manager Ruben Amorim could opt to rotate the squad, potentially resting senior players such as Bruno Fernandes, especially with a crucial Europa League semi-final second leg looming on Thursday. However, Fernandes was also among those travelling, indicating he may still feature against Brentford.

With United currently sitting 15th in the Premier League, the focus has shifted toward finishing the season with pride and giving opportunities to younger players. The inclusion of several academy prospects highlights the club’s long-standing commitment to youth development, even in a challenging campaign.

The squad’s arrival in West London signals preparations are well underway as United aim to end their domestic season on a positive note. All eyes will be on how Amorim balances squad rotation with the need to maintain momentum ahead of their European commitments.
