Barely a few days to the end of the January transfer window and Chelsea are in still in the race to make some new additions to their squad.

The recent reports via the Sun on Sunday revealed that the Blues are ‘pushing hard’ to sign Hellas Verona midfielder Reda Belahyane.

Chelsea want to bring Belahyane to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Cesare Casadei, who is set to exit the club before the January transfer window closes.

Casadei has reportedly attracted strong interest from Serie A clubs Lazio and Torino.

The Blues are reported to want £12.6 million for the Italian, who has made just six appearances this campaign.

It is no news that Casadei has gone down in the line of midfielders in manager Enzo Maresca’s squad.

However, the west London club could reinvest a similar sum in signing Belahyane.
