Why this Premier League top manager is yet to be sacked

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, in a recent statement spoke on why he was yet to be sacked at Manchester City amid their woes this season.

Guardiola pointed out that his achievements with the Premier League club is the reason he has not been sacked.

Man City have witnessed a downturn in their performance, having not won any of their last six matches in all competitions.

The run has included five defeats and one draw, the worst run of Guardiola’s managerial career at the club.

Guardiola in a statement stressed he would have been fired, if he had not won 18 trophies in eight years.

“At this football club you have to win and, if you don’t win, you will be in trouble,” he told reporters.

According to Guardiola, what he done in the last eight years is why he still has the support of everyone in Manchester City’s hierarchy.

He stated that it was not normal in the big clubs to have the results Man City had, but they have to accept it.

Guardiola also reiterated his decision to remain as Man City manager despite their poor form.

Meanwhile, City will return to action this weekend when they take on Liverpool in the Premier League.
