Chelsea’s injury blow Vs Leicester City confirmed
Chelsea will be returning to action this weekend after the international break without their captain Reece James.
The Blues are set to travel to the King Power stadium were they will play against Leicester City on Saturday.
However, ahead of the match, the Blues manager, Enzo Maresca, has confirmed that James will the Premier League trip game.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Maresca disclosed that the English defender has picked up “a small injury”.
According to Maresca, it was unfortunately the Blues captain felt small injury and the club don’t want to take a risk for the game against the Foxes.
The manager also hoped it wouldn’t be something long.
“We think it’s a short-term one, yes,” he said.
Maresca also spoke on the possibility of playing Joao Felix and Cole Palmer together in future.
“I see Cole Palmer and João Félix playing together as one of the targets for the future,” he said.
He added that Felix is doing fantastic with the Blues since his arrival, but the only problem was to find the balance.
Maresca will hope to start his best squad against Leicester City this weekend to return the Blues’ spot in the top three on the Premier League log.
