Europa League: Ten Hag speaks about Mourinho

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has spoken highly of the club’s former manager Jose Mourinho ahead of their faceoff in the Europa League during the week.

The Red Devils will be playing against Fenerbahce after their win against Brentford at the weekend in the Premier League.

Recall that Man Utd came from a goal down to record a win against Brentford thanks to second-half goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dutchman will now take his squad to Turkey where they will play against Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

Man Utd will be hoping for their first European win of the season after drawing their opening two Europa League matches against Twente and Porto.

Mourinho is familiar with the pressure Ten Hag is facing at Man United, having spent over two years in the Old Trafford dugout.

While Mourinho will hope to win against his former club, Ten Hag in a statement revealed his respect for the legendary manager ahead of Thursday’s meeting in Istanbul.

Ten Hag while speaking to the Football Writers’ Association said it would be a big game for Man Utd and Fenerbahce.

The Dutchman added that Mourinho always has good teams and is a winner who has won so many trophies.
