The termination of Sir Alex Ferguson’s ambassadorial deal with Manchester United has remained a topic of discuss among Premier League pundits and fans.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has shared his opinion about the club’s decision to part ways with Ferguson.

Ferdinand in a tweet on Tuesday via X  noted that no one was safe at Old Trafford.

According to the former defender, if Ferguson could be allowed to go then anyone can get the same treatment.

Ferdinand wrote in part,

“Ineos sending a message to ANYONE at the club?!”

Following Man Utd’s latest decision, Ferguson will now step back from his ambassadorial role at the end of the season.

The decision was reached as part of a cost-cutting drive at Man United, since Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquired a minority stake in February.

According to the reports, Man United have also finalised the redundancies of 250 members of staff, saving around £45 million in the process.

Meanwhile, the club chiefs are yet to take a decision on Erik ten Hag’s future at the club amid their current woes.

It is yet to be known if the Dutchman will last at Old Trafford beyond the current season.
