A report via the UK Guardian has disccosed that Manchester United hierarchy failed to reach a final decision on Erik ten Hag’s future during a meeting on Tuesday.

The report revealed the discussion was led by the club’s co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe at the INEOS headquarters.

Also in present were new chief executive Omar Berrada, Dan Ashworth, who recently joined as sporting director, and technical director Jason Wilcox.

The meeting was held following Man United’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.

Their poor form so far this season has left Man United without a win in five matches in all competitions, mounting intense pressure on Ten Hag.

According to the reports, the meeting did not reach any major decisions on Ten Hag’s future.

However, there are speculations that they could still opt to part ways with the Dutchman in the coming days amid Man United’s worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.

Ten Hag may be given the chance to prove himself when the Red Devils return to action after the international break.

Recall that he was close to leaving Old Trafford last season but managed to retain his job after winning the FA Cup against Man City.
