Arsenal star and one other defender that can stop Haaland in the EPL

Former Chelsea and now Real Madrid defender, Antonio Rudiger in a recent statement spoke about Machester City star Erling Haaland and how he could be stopped.

Rudiger claimed that Liverpool’s star Virgil van Dijk and Arsenal’s William Saliba are the only two centre-backs who can stop Erling Haaland in the Premier League.

Haaland has remained at top form this season, with 10 goals already to his name in the Premier League this season.

This means, the 24-year-old Norway star has scored an incredible 101 goals in 107 games since moving to the Etihad Stadium.

Rudiger, who has faced the Man City star four times with Real Madrid, admited that he has physically struggled against him.

However, the former Chelsea defender has been impressed with how both Van Dijk and Saliba have handled Haaland.

Rudiger in a statement via The Inside Scoop said he thinks he is more of an old-school defender who loves this battle with strikers, especially with strikers like Haaland, who he called an absolute beast.

He stated that there are rarely player who can physically match Haaland.

Meanwhile, Man City remained behind Liverpool who are currently seated at the top of the Premier League table.
