Kroos on reason he snubbed a move to Man Utd

Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos in a recent statement has revealed why he turned down an offer to join Premier League side Man Utd.

Kroos recall that he snubbed a transfer to Old Trafford after they “kicked out” David Moyes as manager.

The former  midfielder was close to signing a deal the Premier League side in 2014 when he left German side Bayern Munich.

In a statement via Sport 1, the now-retired midfielder revealed he had reached an agreement with Man United.

He disclosed that he would have switched from Bayern to Old Trafford but then they kicked out David Moyes, who he sat with on his sofa with in Bayern Munich.

When Man United hired Louis van Gaal as Moyes’ replacement, Kroos said he then politely declined the offer.

Kroos eventually moved to the Spanish La Liga where he joined Real Madrid.

During his stay with the Los Blancos, Kroos won 22 titles in his 463 appearances: 4 European Cups, 5 Club World Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 4 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.

He was one of Real Madrid top players during his career as a footballer. He could have struggled to impress at Old Trafford if he had completed the transfer.
