Why Man Utd stand chance of winning Europa title

Former Manchester United star, Owen Hargreaves has tipped Erik ten Hag’s led Red Devils squad to win the UEFA Europa League this season.

According to Hargreaves, the Red Devils are in the right place to win a trophy this season after failing to impress in the Champions League and Premier League last season.

Recall that Man Utd managed to defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup last season which was the main reason Ten Hag was able to keep his job.

With this season’s Europa League starting on Wednesday, Man Utd will play against Dutch club Twente in their opening match at Old Trafford.

Hargreaves in a comment via Metro UK said he stated that when a club is in the Champions League and are not at the level of the other teams they get found out real quick.

He admitted that while last season was quite disappointing for the Red Devils, the issues that they had in the Champions League would be the same in the Europa League.

The former midfielder thinks winning the Europa League title is super realistic for Man Utd with the squad that they have and the clubs they will play against during the tournament.
