We ate them alive: Ten Hag reacts to 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reacted to his side goalless draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Recall that Man Utd headed to the match after their 7-0 win against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.

However, they were unable to replicate that same form against a tougher Palace side.

While the Red Devils began the match at a high tempo, they were denied a goal by their former goalkeeper, Dean Henderson.

After the break, Crystal Palace came into the match with Eberechi Eze missing a late chance to win it.

In a post-match statement, Ten Hag said he was not content, as his side should have taken maximum points.

The Dutchman in a comment via Sky Sports said that when Man Utd doesn’t win, he is not content.

“We should have won. I think first half, we ate them alive,” Ten Hag said.

He stressed that in the second half, it was more in the balance but in the first half, Man Utd should have scored one or two goals.

Man Utd will now turn their attention on the UEFA Europa League where they will play against Dutch club Twente on Wednesday at Old Trafford.
