Arsenal are bracing up for a possible transfer for Takehiro Tomiyasu in the January transfer window.

The recent reports revealed the Gunners have fixed an asking price of £25 million for the defender amid interest for him from the Italian Serie A league.

So far this season, the North London club have maintain a top form in the Premier League, with their solid defence conceding just one goal in their first four matches.

Recall that Arsenal bolstered their defensive options in the summer window, with the £42 million signing of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.

Tomiyasu, who is recovering from a knee injury sustained during pre-season, is yet to play this season.

Amid his injury, the Japanese full-back  has attracted interest from Serie A sides Inter Milan, Napoli, and Juventus, who are set to make moves for him when the transfer window reopens in the winter.

A report via the Sun reported that Inter Milan are leading the race for Tomiyasu’s signature.

Recall that the 25-year-old defender moved to Emirates Stadium from Bologna in August 2021 and has made 83 appearances for the Gunners.

However, his time at Arsenal has been marred by incessant injuries, including knee and calf issues.

Arsenal could part ways with him in January for the right fee.
