Former Chelsea defender names two club to challenge Man City

Manchester City led by manager Pep Guardiola have returned this season with a top form and are once again named one of the favourites to win the Premier League title.

However, former Chelsea defender David Luiz in a recent statement named Arsenal and Liverpool as the two clubs that can challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.

According to Luiz, other clubs like Chelsea, Man Utd, Tottenham are in transition and not ready to compete for the title this season.

The defender stated that Arsenal are the club today that is closest, along with Liverpool perhaps, to challenging City.

Luiz in a statement via Copa City Studio said the other clubs in the other clubs in the Premier League are restructuring and growing again to compete for titles.

Guardiola’s Man City have won the title for the last four consecutive seasons.

However, in the last two seasons, the Citizens have been challenged by Arsenal, who finished as runners-up.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Man City are expected to go head to head this weekend in the Premier League.

The match will be one of the games to look out for this season as the Gunners will hope to win all three points or split with Man City.
