Chelsea back in the race for Osimhen, could offer two players
Since the start of the summer transfer window, Chelsea had been linked with moves for Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
However, at some point, the Blues alongside their London rivals Arsenal who were also interested in the Nigerian forward appeared to have turned their focus elsewhere duo to the amount Napoli were demanding for his release clause.
With no club yet to submit a bid for Osimhen, Chelsea appear to be back in the race for the player who Napoli are also ready to part ways with.
A recent report via Caughtoffside claimed to have exclusive details that “new contacts over Osimhen could take place soon,” with the Blues trying to offset the release clause by including unwanted players Cesare Casadei and Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea priorities for the remaining of the summer is signing a winger and a striker that can score goals creating competition for Nicolas Jackson who struggled to in front last season.
The Blues who are under a new manager Enzo Maresca are keen on strengthening their squad ahead of next season as they prepare to compete for trophies having finished at the sixth spot on the league table under former coach Pochettino.
Should Osimhen move to Stamford Bridge, he would still need to agree to the Blues wage structure.
