Ten Hag fumes over Man Utd’s loss to Rosenborg
Manchester United have commenced their pre-season games with a first defeat to Rosenborg on Monday.
The match which ended in a 1-0 defeat saw the Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag fuming with his players.
Rosenborg’s Noah Holm scored the lone goal of the game with the last kick.
In a reaction, Ten Hag told his squad that they are nowhere near the standards he demands especially as they prepare for a new season.
Although most of the members of the Red Devils first team were unavailable as they are on vacation following their participation in Euro 2024 hosted the Germany, the pre-season match against Rosenborg still featured senior players like Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford and Casemiro.
Ten Hag in a statement via MUTV said the outcome is not secondary and of course, they play pre-season but at Man United there is a standard, which is to win games, definitely, not lose games.
He added that if the Red Devils they can’t win a game, they don’t lose like they did in the end, in the last second of the game against Rosenborg.
