Arsenal Eyes £65m Premier League Star Amidst Competition from Chelsea

Reports indicate that Arsenal are setting their sights on Dominic Solanke, a £65m Premier League star currently with AFC Bournemouth, as they seek to address their team’s challenges.

This move comes amidst Chelsea’s pursuit of Mikel Arteta’s preferred player.

Arsenal, having invested substantially in Kai Havertz from Chelsea last summer, saw the German player exceed expectations to become Arteta’s favored No. 9. Nevertheless, the club is still keen on bolstering their forward line, especially with speculation surrounding the potential departures of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

Among the candidates being considered by Arsenal, Benjamin Sesko, the 21-year-old RB Leipzig forward, has emerged as their primary target.

Sesko’s impressive debut season in the Bundesliga, where he netted 14 goals in 31 appearances, has drawn the attention of several top European clubs. With a £55m release clause in his contract, he is expected to depart RB Leipzig this summer.

However, with competition heating up, Arsenal may need to explore alternative options. The Express reports that Chelsea and Newcastle United are also vying for Sesko’s signature.

Additionally, Solanke has surfaced as a potential target for Arsenal, following his notable performance of 19 goals for AFC Bournemouth last season, backed by a £65m release clause.
