Fabrizio Romano gives update on Chelsea’s move for Osimhen
Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on Chelsea’s move to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
Romano revealed the Blues have taken the first step to secure deal for Osimhen ahead of the summer window.
He disclosed that the Blues have spoken to the agent of the Nigerian forward about the possibility of moving to the Premier League with the west London club.
Aside from French side PSG, Chelsea are another top European side said to be interested in signing the Nigerian international this summer.
Chelsea must be ready for stiff competition from PSG who consider Osimhen as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe who is set to leave in the summer.
The Blues, however, have an edge over PSG as Osimhen is said to be more open to moving to the Premier League than a return to Ligue 1, having played in the league with Lille.
Speaking about Chelsea meeting with Osimhen’s agent, Romano told Mics’ YouTube page, football cllubs have a shortlist of players, maybe four or five names for each position but no one knows who the top target is.
Citing the Blues as an example, the transfer expert said Chelsea spoke to different agents for the striker position including the agents of Sesko, Osimhen, among others.
