Ahead of the summer transfer window, Chelsea appear to be planning to sign a new goalkeeper.

The Blues are said to be among the clubs interested in signing Arsenal outcast Aaron Ramsdale this summer.

A recent report via Football Insider claimed that Chelsea plan to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper when the transfer window opens.

It is believed that the Blues do not believe Dorde Petrovic and Robert Sanchez are good enough to be number one goalie at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are reported to have shortlisted both Ramsdale and Jordan Pickford, but Everton are expected to give tough negotiators for the latter.

Football Insider claimed Arsenal will sell Ramsdale this summer.

Recall that Ramsdale used to be the Gunners number one goalkeeper until last season when they lost the chance to win the Premier League title to Man City.

Last summer window saw Arsenal sign David Raya on loan from Brentford, who took Ramsdale’s place in the first team this season.

The Gunners boss Mikel Arteta believed Raya was an improvement on Ramsdale, especially in his distribution and construction from the back.

Arsenal are close to winning the title again this season and could secure a permanent move for Raya in the summer, which could sde them sell Ramsdale.
