Tottenham boss reacts to 2-0 defeat to Chelsea
Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, has revealed the reason behind his side’s defeat to Chelsea in their receny Premier League outing.
According to Postecoglou, Tottenham did not have the right mindset in their 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Thursday night.
Trevor Chalobah gave the Blues the lead in the first half and Nicolas Jackson sealed the win with a second goal towards the end of the match.
This gave Chelsea all three points they needed, as they completed a Premier League double over their London rivals this season.
The defeat to Chelsea has crashed the Hotspurs hope of finishing in the top four and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
This is because they are now seven points behind Aston Villa, who are at the fourth spot on the league table.
Tottenham boss in a post-match statement admitted it was not a good night for his side.
The defeat to Chelsea come after Tottenham lost to their North London neighbours Arsenal, who currently sit at the top of the Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have moved from the 9th to 8th spot on the league table after staying stagnant at a point for weeks.
Chelsea will now focus on their next game against West Ham.
