Former Chelsea striker recalls experience at Stamford Bridge

Former Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a recent statement recalled what went happened during his season-long ordeal at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Aubameyang moved to Chelsea from Spanish side Barcelona in the summer of 2022 and endured a difficult season at Stamford Bridge.

The Gabonese who left Arsenal for Barcelona just 6 months earlier, exited Stamford Bridge to join Olympique Marseille last summer.

Recall that Aubameyang joined the Blues on the recommendation of their then former manager Thomas Tuchel, current Bayern Munich boss.

The Gabon star struggled to impress for the rest of the season after Tuchel left the club.

His performance saw him delisted from the Blues UEFA Champions League squad.

Aubameyang in a recent statement via L’Equipe spoke on how his spell at Stamford Bridge played out.

The former said he understood that from December, that the season was over, and he already wanted to leave Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang said at some point he queried himself if it was how what was meant by one being old.

He stressed that he was disappointed and felt lost at that time.

The forward, however, refused to give in to the old age opinion as he shook himself off to take up a new challenge.
