FA Cup: He wasted three chances – Alan Shearer blast Chelsea star after defeat to Man City
Former England and Newcastle star, Alan Shearer in a recent statement slammed Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, following his poor performance Vs Man City on Saturday.
The Senegalese who joined Chelsea from Villarreal was unable to convert any of the goal chances he got against Manchester City at Wembley during the clash in the FA Cup semi final.
While Bernardo Silva managed to score the only goal of the night towards the end of the match to take Man City to the final, Jackson wasted three chances to give Chelsea a win.
The Blues striker had a chance in the first half but was unable to take a shot at goal.
A chance to attack the goal saw the Senegal player shouldered off the ball by Kyle Walker.
He also lost all the opportunities provided to him on a platter, leading Shearer to slam his performance.
“Mauricio Pochettino feels Chelsea should be about fourth on expected goals, and this is exactly what he’s on about,” Shearer told BBC One.
“Jackson never looked comfortable. They are absolute sitters. They really are. Three great chances for him.”
Meanwhile Man City will face one of Man Utd or Coventry in the FA Cup final.
