Two reasons Arsenal have been losing matches

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reacted to the dip in his side’s performance as he recently provided two reasons behind their back-to-back defeats.

Like in the previous campaign, the Gunners began 2024 on a brilliant note, winning 11 matches and drawing one, before suffering losses.

The North Londoners lost 2-0 at home to Aston Villa and suffered a 1-0 defeat to German side Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final, putting an end to their race in the European tournament.

Going by the look of things, Arsenal are likely to end the season without a trophy once again.

Their hope of winning the Premier League is slipping out of their hands especially with Man City back at the top of the table.

Reacting to the club’s poor run, the Spaniard in a recent statement has blamed himself as well as the quality of their opposition.

“Sometimes it’s the opponent. The opponents play very good and you have to congratulate them.

“Sometimes it will be my fault as well, not changing anything or making the right call,” he said at a press conference on Friday.
