Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag in a recent statement has responded to a viral claim of him saying the Red Devils are out of the race to qualify for next season’s Champions League following their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.

Ten Hag denied making the claims as he believed the Red Devils still have a good chance of playing in European tournaments next season.

Man Utd 2-2 result against Bournemouth means they have won only one of their past seven games in all competitions.

As of now, the Red Devils are 10 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and fifth-placed Tottenham with six games left.

“We give what we can, but I am also realistic.

“And so when the full squad was there, I still would’ve said high belief, but we will keep fighting also with the players who are available. And you see there is high potential but also young players.

When asked if he feels the Champions League is beyond his team now, Ten Hag replied: “No. No, I didn’t say that.”

Man Utd will have to at least finish in the fifth position this season to play in the UEFA Champions League.
