He is tactically the best: Owen names this EPL manager number one in the world

Formerly Liverpool star Michael Owen has crown Manchester City manager Pep Gaurdiola as the best tactical coach in the world.

Owen made the comment while sharing his take on Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final 3-3 draw with Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

The former Liverpool star described Guardiola as ‘absolutely exceptional.’

“I think he would teach you so much about the game,” Owen told TNT Sports about Guardiola.

“He is a student of the game. He is probably tactically the best manager on the planet at the moment, possibly ever.”

He added, “It would be a fascinating insight just to sit in the dressing room for a season with Pep Guardiola. He is absolutely exceptional.”

Meanwhile, Guardiola is not new to UCL success, having enjoyed a great career so far, lifting the UEFA Champions League on three different occasions.

He led Man City to lift the European trophy last season and is on course of replicating the same this campaign.
