One player keeping Chelsea away from relegation revealed

Former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp in a comment has claimed that Chelsea would be fighting to stay out of the relegation zone this season if not for their forward Cole Palmer.

It is no longer news that Palmer has emerged as an impressive player for Chelsea, having joined the club from Manchester City last summer.

The England star recently scored a hat trick as Chelsea beat Manchester United 4-3.

Palmer was also in top form for manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side at the weekend, as he helped set up Noni Madueke’s strike against Sheffield United in their 2-2 Premier League draw.

Speaking after the game on Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “Chelsea would be in a relegation battle if it were not for Cole Palmer.”

Palmer will hope to return to action when Chelsea face Everton in their next game.
