Pochettino hails Chelsea star

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has applauded Nicolas Jackson following their weekend game against Brentford.

The Blues manager in his statement hailed the striker for never giving up.

Recall that Chelsea defeated Brentford in a 2-2 draw with Brentford on Saturday.

“Nico’s 22 years old, he has arrived from a different country and a different league and everyone has put responsibility on him to score goals,” Pochettino said at his pre-match press conference.

“For me, he is doing fantastic. I really appreciate his effort.

“He is very tough and plays football with maturity in the way that he accepts and deals with the pressure.

“He never gives up. He is scoring goals.”

Jackson signed the Blues from Villareal last summer for a reported fee of €35 million.
