January transfer window: Arsenal recall Marquinhos

Amid the ongoing January transfer window, the recent report revealed Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has recalled Brazil forward Marquinhos back to the Emirates Stadium.

The North London club made this public in a statement via its website on Friday.

Marquinhos was recalled from his loan transfer at Ligue 1 club FC Nantes.

The Brazil international is expected to join up with his under-23 national team for their 2024 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament held in Venezuela.

Before his loan exit away from Arsenal, the 20-year-old made his Premier League debut in Arsenal’s 3-0 win at Brentford, after which he secured a move to Championship side Norwich City last January.

“We welcome Marquinhos back to the club and wish him all the best for the international tournament and his continued development,” Arsenal’s statement read in part.
