Palmer reacts to his first goal for Chelsea vs Burnley
Chelsea summer signing Cole Palmer has reacted to his first goal for the club during their 4-1 away win vs Burnley.
Palmer who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Manchester City scored his first goal for the club. Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson were also on target, along with an earlier own goal.
Palmer and Sterling shone throughout the match for the Blues, both operating in wide areas but with the licence to come inside and float in the half spaces at will.
Reacting to his first goal in a post-match statement, Palmer said:
‘It felt really good to get my first goal for this club and my first in the Premier League too.
‘In the first half, I don’t think I was really playing up to the standard. In the second half, I went back out there and things seemed to click for us more.
‘I was just happy to help the team. I’m really pleased to score and get an assist but the main thing is getting the three points and we did that.’
