Why this Man City midfielder will struggle vs Arsenal

Former Manchester City defender, Nedum Onuoha has shared his take ahead of Arsenal game vs the Citizens this weekend.

Onuoha pointed out one Man City star who would struggle against Arsenal, naming the player as Mateo Kovacic, who moved to Etihad Stadium from Chelsea in the summer.

There are speculations that Kovacic will start the game at the Emirates with Rodri serving a three-game ban.

Onuoha feels the Croatian is not used to playing as the deepest midfielder.

He said: “I think Rodri missing for City is potentially bigger than Bukayo Saka being out injured.

“Say if the two of them end up not playing, because in that, you may be looking at someone like Kovacic who doesn’t know exactly how to play those roles in the biggest games for the club.

“Because, in fairness to him, he’s not played those games yet.”
