Koulibaly shades Chelsea after completing transfer to Saudi club

Senegal star, Kalidou Koulibaly recently threw a shade at Chelsea following the completion of his £20 million transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

The 32-year-old defender, who was only a Chelsea player a season after joining from Napoli last summer struggled to impress in the Premier League.

Koulibaly made 23 appearances for the Blues as he suffered injuries during the season.

However, the Senegal star while speaking with Corriere dello Sport, said it was not a nice time for him at Stamford Bridge.

He further stressed that he prefers a club where he is wanted and a part of their project.

“I had no guarantees to get regular playing time [at Chelsea]. I was always professional, but I don’t like to sit on the bench doing nothing.

“I prefer a place where I am wanted and at the centre of the project and can be an example for young players.”

Chelsea signed the Senegalese for £34 million from Italian side Napoli last season.
