Chelsea continue to push for moves for Napoli star

Chelsea are still in the race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Italian Seria A side Napoli.

This is according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Blues are keen on signing Osimhen who would cost ‘at least’ €150m for their incoming new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea have already splashed more than £600millions since Todd Boehly became their new owner last summer.

While the Blues have endured a miserable 2022-23 season, finishing in the bottom half of the EPL table, Boehly is ready to spend more as they are in desperate need of a new striker.

Chelsea will, however, face competition from Manchester United, who have been linked with a move for Osimhen, who recently lifted the Serie A title with Napoli.

Osimhen scored 28 goals across 37 games for Napoli this season.

The Nigerian star tops the list of potential new strikers Chelsea want to sign and they are still pushing to sign him despite his huge price tag.

It is unknown if he would be willing to let go of a chance to play in the UCL next season to join Chelsea.
