Potter reacts to Felix’s red card vs Fulham
Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, has reacted to the red card new signing Joao Felix received during their 2-1 defeat at Fulham on Thursday.
Felix, who only move to Stamford Bridge on loan for the rest of the season this week made his debut for Chelsea when he was included in their starting XI at Craven Cottage.
However, the Atletico Madrid striker did not last an hour, as he was sent off for a nasty tackle on Kenny Tete.
Potter said he understands why Felix was handed a red.
In his words: “It was a forward’s tackle. There was no malice in it but I understand why it was a red.
“It is another blow, the hits keep coming at the moment.
“He was really good, you could see his quality in the game, so it is doubly disappointing for us.”
