Winger told to leave Chelsea for Man Utd

Morocco international and Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has been advised to leave the club in the coming transfer window.

The Blues winger was urged to consider a switch to Manchester United because of manager Erik ten Hag.

The Moroccan has been less impressive at Stamford Bridge since his £33m move from Ajax in the summer of 2020.

So far, Ziyech has scored 14 goals in 92 appearances for Chelsea and has started only one Premier League game this season.

However, Ziyech has been Morocco’s star in Qatar, helping them qualify for the quarter-finals, where they will face Portugal.

And former Morocco midfielder Mustafa El Haddaoui wants the winger to join Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils.

El Haddaoui told Stats Perform and Corriere dello Sport: “He needs to leave Chelsea and go to Manchester United, because the former Ajax manager [Erik ten Hag] wanted him.

“He will bounce back, but he needs to leave Chelsea during the winter transfer market.”
