Man Utd legend warns Chelsea against move for Ronaldo

Manchester United legend, Teddy Sherringham, like many other pundits has issued warnings to Chelsea owner Todd Boehly against signing former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

This comes as Man Utd ended Ronaldo’s contract with the club and he has now been linked with moves to Chelsea among other clubs.

According to Sherringham, Ronaldo’s move to Chelsea will send a wrong message.

He added that the move was not a good move for Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, adding that the 37-year-old would want a full say on what happens at Chelsea.

“I don’t think Ronaldo is a good move for Graham Potter at all. Not so early in his Chelsea career to be dictated who comes in,” Sherringham told BoyleSports.

“He obviously wants to have a full say on what happens at the club and that would send out the wrong message straight away.”

He added: “Football surprises you every day and you don’t know what could happen next, so who knows?”
