Why Chelsea will have the same problem like Man Utd if they sign Ronaldo

Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy, has sent a warning to Chelsea about signing Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Murphy, Chelsea manager Graham Potter likes to rotate his squad and feels Ronaldo would not like the idea.

This comes as Ronaldo has been linked with a move to Chelsea following his departure from Man United earlier this week.

Man Utd were forced to let the Portugal stat leave Old Trafford after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Murphy believes Chelsea would witness the same problem Man Utd had when Ronaldo was at the club.

Speaking to Lord Ping, Murphy said: “I think that it is a shame that [Ronaldo’s exit from Man United] ended this way.

“I think that it is a decision that suits both parties.”

He added: “In terms of moving to Chelsea, I can’t see it. I think Graham Potter would inherit the same problems if he doesn’t play him every week, and Graham Potter likes to rotate.

“In fact, he’s a manager that never plays the same team every week.

“I don’t think Ronaldo would be too engaged with his rotation policy. I really can’t see it happening. I would be gobsmacked if it did.”
