Man Utd manager Erik Ten Hag has beat the likes of Graham Potter, Mikel Arteta among others to be named the Premier League Manager of the Month for September.

Ten Hag, who had a tough start to life at Old Trafford, suffered a home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion and a 4-0 defeat to Brentford in his first two competitive games at Old Trafford.

Things have, however, changed for the Red Devils since then as they managed to pull a run of four successive victories in the league, including wins over Leicester City and league leaders Arsenal in September.

The death of Queen Elizabeth slowed down a lot of football activities in the EPL, but Man Utd’s two wins in September were enough to earn Ten Hag his first Premier League Manager of the Month award, as Marcus Rashford won the Player of the Month prize too.

Ten Hag is the second Manchester United manager to win the award since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down in 2013, following in the footsteps of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who won it in January 2019.

Other coaches who were nominated include Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte and Bournemouth caretaker Gary O’Neil.

In another report, Man United will return to action when they face rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
