Egypt says Liverpool star was targeted vs Senegal

The latest report revealed that world football body has commence investigation into the world cup qualifiers between Egypt and Senegal.

The game between the two African countries ended in a penalty shootout with the report claiming that Liverpool and star Mohammed Salah and his teammates were targeted by lasers.

Senegal won the match 3-1 on penalties to book their place in the World Cup in Qatar.

However, despite losing the match, the Pharaohs have made accusations about they were treated in Dakar.

Egypt in a complaint they filed to FIFA claimed their players, particularly Salah, were racially abused and had objects thrown at them during the warm-up.

They claimed their bus was attacked and that during the shootout, Egypt’s goalkeeper and players had green lasers shining at them.

A statement via the Egyptian FA stressed that their national team was exposed to racism with offensive signs in the stands against the Egyptian players in general.

In a response to the complaint, FIFA vowed to examine match reports before deciding on the next steps.

“FIFA is currently in the process of analysing the official match reports of the FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Senegal and Egypt,” FIFA’s statement read.
