Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is currently on international duty for his home country America.

Pulisic was impressive during their 5-1 win against Panama in Orlando as he scored a hat trick.

The Chelsea forward scored two first-half penalties and added another goal in the second half to help America to victory on a night in which he also captained the team.

His contribution means the US national team has now won all nine of their last nine competitive home matches in which Pulisic has scored in.

Pulisic is now the second USA player to score a hat-trick against Panama, with the first player being Eddie Johnson in a World Cup Qualifier in 2004.

Aside from the Chelsea star, Paul Arriola and Jesus Ferreira scored the two other goals to make it five.

As of now, the USA now have 25 points in CONCACAF’s qualifying table and is on the same level as Mexico.

This means they would have to suffer a six-goal defeat on Wednesday night against Costa Rica to be denied automatic qualification to this winter’s World Cup.
