EPL: Fernandes sends message to Man Utd players ahead of clash vs Man City

Man Utd midfielder and Portugal international Bruno Fernandes has sent a message to his teammates ahead of their next EPL match vs Man City.

This comes after the Red Devils were held to a goalless draw against Watford over the weekend.

As of now, Man Utd are seated in the fourth spot on the EPL table, but their opponents with games in hand could take over from them in a matter of time.

Because of this, Man Utd midfielder Fernandes has talked up the importance of the team responding to Saturday’s draw with a strong performance against Man City next weekend.

Speaking to MUTV after Saturday’s draw with Watford, Fernandes said: “We tried to find the net but the ball seemed to bounce off every player, our players, their players.

“As I’ve said before it was just one of those days where the ball wouldn’t go in. Unfortunately for us it was just one point.”

Looking ahead to Sunday’s clash with Man City, Fernandes added: “It’s one of those games where we know what it means for the city, for the fans, for the club and for ourselves.

“It’s a game we want to win at all costs.”
